No Vision, No direction:
The Word of God states, “that my people perish for lack of vision”. Vision is very important for any people-may they be Americans, Chinese or Filipino. To see ahead is a God given gift that is open to all.
This year’s RI theme exemplifies this thought very clearly. As Rotarians we must see where we are heading and what we expect to accomplish. Having nothing of this is tantamount to saying that we are simply drifting towards a direction who knows where.
Rotary-Iligan is a great Club-it is the oldest and one of the most decorated club in the District. We have a tradition of achievements no other club in the zone can equal.
We gave the city a city library, wheelchairs to the City Hospital and we are the first club in the district to inspire an entire city and attempt a Guinnes World Record.
Today we aim to change Iligan’s negative declaration of itself and come up with a poster campaign to turn it into a positive. We printed a thousand for distribution to various offices in the city- both private and public.
I enjoin all Rotarians of RC-Iligan to join the campaign. The district governor knows about this and is happy that we are helping the city change its image and its market positioning.
God bless to all!!
