Activities of the Rotary Club-Iligan

After sending much needed supplies to Manila for typhoon Ondoy, the Rotarians of RC-Iligan are sending this time supplies of bijon and used clothing for typhoon Pepeng. Seen here are the Rotarians of RC-Iligan (mother club) together with the relief operations head of Negros Navigation-Iligan, Mr. Raymund Baja, as they donated for the victims of typhoon Pepeng. The Rotarians were led by President Arnold “Aji” Garbanzos, who is concurrently the Zone Chair. Seen on the pictures are Rotarians PP Val Salazar, PADG Rodney Barretto, PP Fred Lopez, PADG Henry Siao,PP John Hansel, Jun Rovira, PP Lino Legaspi, PP Roy Bandojo, PADG Jun Lumbo, PP Flor Sarsaba and Secretary Nilo Zeta.
They were also joined by members of Tau Gamma Phi Fraternity, Iligan Chapter-who also help out in the relief operations in Iligan.
In another project spearheaded by PP John Hansel at the Iligan City Jail together with President Garbanzos, RC-Iligan distributed toiletry supplies for the women and teen age
in mates of the city. As seen on the picture, PP Hansel is sharing encouraging words for the inmates. This was followed by President Garbanzos who also gave Biblical insights to encourage them.
In a related development, we see Rotarians of RC-Iligan South (headed by President Juel Songkit) and RC-Maria Cristina (headed by President Neneng Navarro) reaching out to our Muslim brothers of Hinaplanon and Tribal leaders of the Iligan hinterlands (lead by Datu Intunda and Datu Lantong Mansumayan). RC-Iligan South handed out food and grocery items during the end of Ramadan, while RC-Maria Cristina (together with VP Jinky Matba) discussing a medical mission at the hinterlands with the tribal leaders.
